A Civic Empowerment Platform

Breaking Barriers to Civic Participation By

  • Read short, nonpartisan summaries of legislation coming up for a vote, written in a way that doesn’t require a law degree to understand. You can also find the popular arguments for and against bills.

  • Find out who your elected officials are and for every bill you care about, find options to connect with them by phone, email or Twitter. We even provide a little script in case you’re nervous about what to say.

  • See which organizations are advocating for and against bills. We provide an option for people to donate to organizations that are advocating for the bills that are important to them so that average Americans can collectively have more power than the big lobby.

Most civically engaged Americans vote every

2-4 years,

while full-time lobbyists have the ears of our elected officials

 every day.

1000 MORE makes it easy for people to have greater influence on the policies that govern our lives.

Why 1000 MORE?

Founder D’Seanté Parks named the platform after her favorite quote, often misattributed to Harriet Tubman, I freed 1000 slaves, I could have freed 1000 more, if only they had known they were slaves.

We believe that if only people knew how powerful their voice is in a democracy, they would realize their full civic power.
